Light Stream Relay 6 LITE - Technical datasheet

Light Stream Relay 6 LITE
Six-channel DIN-rail relay module with RS-485 (Modbus RTU), part number LS-Relay 6
Technical datasheet
Light Stream Relay 6 LITE switches lighting and other loads on and off: six outputs of up to 10 A (2 kW) each. It is controlled over RS-485 (Modbus RTU) and directly from ordinary switches — seven "dry contact" inputs. It can control curtain drives, works on timers and switches to a safe mode by itself when communication is lost. DIN-rail mounting.

Features

Six powerful outputs

Six relays of 10 A (2 kW) per output, inrush current up to 80 A. Suitable for LED, fluorescent and incandescent lamps, fans and water heaters.

Works with ordinary switches

Latching switches and push buttons can be connected to the seven inputs. The light turns on from the switch even if the controller is unavailable.

Scene buttons

The module distinguishes a short press, a long press, a double press and a "short, then long" press. Each one can be assigned its own action — a single button controls several lines.

"Turn everything off"

A dedicated input switches off all six outputs with one press — for example, a switch by the front door.

Curtain control

Up to three drives for curtains, blinds, roller shutters or dampers. The module does not allow "Open" and "Close" to be switched on at the same time and keeps the pause itself when the direction is changed.

Timers

For each output: turn-on or turn-off delay, turn on or off for a set time, cyclic turn-on.

Safe mode

If communication with the system is lost, the outputs switch by themselves to a specified state, and control can be handed over to ordinary switches. When communication is restored, the module returns to normal operation.

Protection of the network and the load

After power is applied, the outputs switch on one after another so as not to overload the network with inrush currents. The restart delay protects compressors and pumps from frequent starts.

Pulse counting and frequency

The inputs count pulses and measure frequency up to 5 kHz - the module can also be used as an I/O module.

V+, GND power supply 9–28 V DC
A, B RS-485 bus
COM1, COM2 common wires of the two groups of three outputs
K1–K6 relay outputs
0–6 "dry contact" inputs; by default input N controls output N, input 0 switches off all outputs
iGND common terminal of the inputs

Different phases can be applied to the COM1 and COM2 groups. A curtain drive takes two adjacent outputs: 1–2, 3–4 or 5–6.

Caution

  • The total current per group of three outputs must not exceed 30 A: all six outputs cannot be loaded with 10 A each at the same time.
  • When a relay switches on, the module briefly consumes up to 4 W — choose a power supply with a margin and take into account the voltage drop on a long cable.
  • Before connecting a curtain drive, enable the "Drive control" mode for its outputs, otherwise both directions may switch on at the same time.

Maintenance

Connecting cables and wires must be in good condition and securely fastened. If the device works properly and no new features are needed, installing updates is not required. Before updating, it is recommended to back up the settings so that you can return to the previous version.

Safety

  • Do not expose the device to rain or moisture — this will void the warranty.
  • Do not remove the cover: there are no user-serviceable parts inside.
  • Never connect the device to a dimmer.
  • Never connect 0 V to electrical ground.

Warranty

3-year limited manufacturer's warranty (2 years for products sold before 30.09.2024).

Warranty service is not provided:

  • for mechanical and other damage to the product caused by the buyer;
  • for lamps, fuses, galvanic isolation and protection components;
  • if the product was repaired by the buyer or by third parties;
  • if the design of the product was modified;
  • for equipment operated in violation of the power quality and capacity requirements of GOST 13109-97, under emergency conditions, or exposed to lightning strikes, fire or other extreme conditions;
  • for product accessories (including cables, external power supplies, packaging) and parts not included in the delivery;
  • if the wiring diagram or the rules of storage, transportation and operation were violated;
  • if the product was exposed to chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents;
  • if the product was used for purposes other than those stated in the datasheet;
  • for damage caused by natural disasters or fire;
  • if the manufacturer's (supplier's) label is missing.
